When planning their Engagement Session, Elizabeth was doing searches for "Romantic Outdoor Engagement Photos" and decided the results were the kind of look she loved. She and Jay knew with their wedding being in downtown Lexington, they were looking for a totally different setting for their Engagement Session.
With their session fast approaching we were desperate for the perfect location to provide this vision. They loved places with flowers but hadn't seen what they were looking for in the right area yet.
At the last minute I was carpooling with a friend to a Pastor's Wives conference out of town and on our drive we started talking about locations that could work for my upcoming session. She recommended the venue where she had gotten married, First Vineyard in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and the rest is history!
I was able to connect with the owner who was happy to have us come. We had the whole place to ourselves except the kind owners making sure we were taken care of and knew our way around the property.
We quickly found so many amazing spots for photos and I cannot love the results more. The view from the top of the property is to die for. It's like nothing I've seen in Kentucky. The rolling hills for miles feel like you've stepped into Europe.
They brought along a soft picnic blanket, some champagne, and glasses for a beautiful picnic in the vines.
